From the northwest mountains of West Glacier to the foothills of Red Lodge and everything inbetween. Montana is the fourth largest state in the country and the mosaic of great open plains, native grasslands, and mountains that peak above 12,000 feet is incredible. The Continental Divide (or Rocky Mountains) runs through the west side of the state, that divides waters to the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and creates the ecosystems of Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and lots inbetween. The diverse state hosts wet-loving trees like cedars and hemlock, aspens and cottonwoods along rivers and creeks, while also finding whitebark pines up higher in elevation. Wildlife abounds- bison, elk, moose, wolves, pikas, grizzlies & more!
